Kenny Friedman Does FTLOG on Piano!
A note from the artist: "I just want to make it clear that these are 'first takes'... I wasn't looking for any kind of perfection - just casualness and soul... in fact, I think achieved total imperfection!
I wanted to make it feel like I was playing for you in my living room - campfire style. You shout out the title and i'll play it as well as i know it at that moment.
I love to hear your feedback (+ or -), please feel free to e-mail with the link below."

This is the thread entry as it apeared on the Jemsite Forum.
"After hearing Mike Keneally's version of Salamanders, I offered to do this in this thread: http://www.jemsite.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=18116
Sorry it took a while - i starved myself and didn't pee for 5 days, just to get that same feeling that Vai had when he recorded it.
Of course I'm kidding (and if "Himself" stumbles on this thread, I'm REALLY sorry ;-) )
Anyway, I didn't go to all those great lengths to produce something 'pure', but what i did do, was play a little of it before the 'tape' was rolling (just to get it in my head), then I pressed 'record' and played. This is what came out. First take, no overdubs, mistakes and all (and lots of 'em!).
Equipment: Korg T2, Goldwave Software.
It came out a little more new-age-y than I'd hoped.
Enjoy....more soon!

Kenny Friedman Does Call it Sleep on Piano!
Dated 1/12/03:
This is fun :-)
I started to record this one yesterday, but I didn't check my levels and the recording was a bit distorted. I also realized I should listen to Himself play it first. It's been a while.
So here's the first take of the day today. Pure enough?
